On January 29, 2021, community members gathered together, for the first virtual Lunar New Year celebration. The evening was filled with student musical performances, craft kits, educational presentations, and an animated lion dance as we celebrated the beginning of the Year of the Ox. 

 

Proceeds from the Lunar New Year Celebration benefit the Henry Lee ’43 Scholarship Fund. His family established the fund in 1994 to honor him on his 70th birthday as the first Asian-American student to graduate from Friends. Following his death a year later, the fund became a memorial scholarship.
