On January 31, 2020, community members joined us at the Golden Unicorn in Chinatown for a Lunar New Year celebration. The evening was filled with musical performances, dance, games, crafts, authentic Chinese food, and the lion dance as we celebrated the beginning of the Year of the Rat. 

 

Proceeds from the Lunar New Year Celebration benefit the Henry Lee ’43 Scholarship Fund. His family established the fund in 1994 to honor him on his 70th birthday as the first Asian-American student to graduate from Friends. Following his death a year later, the fund became a memorial scholarship.
